SAFECAP® self-sealing Mylar® wrapped capillary tubes. Designed for use in the lab or test facility. SAFEPETTE® allows you to safely deliver serum samples by eliminating the hazards of scoring and snapping blood-filled capillary tubes.

Using the SAFEPETTE® Dispenser

All SAFEPETTE® Dispensers are equipped with a removable sheath, mounted on the dispensing end. The sheath is designed to guide the capillary tube onto the dispenser locking mechanism, and provide greater safety in the event that a capillary tube is accidentally broken.
Place the protective sheath onto the dispenser by pressing and twisting the cylindrical sheath (large open end) onto the dispenser end, until the sheath is nearly flush with the black ejector ring.

Follow the package insert for SAFECAP® self-sealing Mylar® wrapped tube when filling the capillary tube.
IMPORTANT: Pull back the black ejector ring to set the unit to accept the capillary tube.
Insert the sealed end of the capillary tube into the sheath by holding the capillary tube between the thumb and forefinger, and gently push into the dispenser. The dispenser will automatically grab the capillary tube, and spring-lock it into place.
Sample Delivery

Expel the desired volume of fluid by slowly depressing the plunger. Release the plunger when the operation is completed.
